  • Lauren Eberly, MD, MPH

    Dr. Eberly is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and a staff cardiologist for the Indian Health Service at Gallup Indian Medical Center. She has led numerous projects focused on addressing structural inequities in cardiovascular care delivery.

    Carmen George works in community outreach and patient empowerment in Navajo Nation. Additionally, she works as a Program Manager at Brigham and Women's Hospital, in the Division of Global Health Equity.

  • Maricruz Merino, MD, FACP

    Dr. Merino is the Chief of Internal Medicine, at Gallup Indian Medical Center in Gallup, New Mexico. Her job involves taking holistic and comprehensive care of hospitalized patients, ensuring that their physical, social, and spiritual needs are met.

    Tocabe, an American Indian Eatery, is one of the country’s only American Indian-owned and operated restaurants. Tocabe Indigenous Marketplace, connects people to Indigenous ingredients and ready-made meals. They are committed to sourcing ingredients from Native producers and embracing Indigenous traditions alongside contemporary approaches.

  • Alice Perez

    Alice Perez is the Executive Director of the Community Pantry and Hope Garden in Gallup, NM.

  • Paula Mora, MD

    Dr. Paula Mora is the Director of Public Health for Navajo Area Indian Health Service. She started her career at the IHS in June 2022 at the Gallup Service Unit. She is a board-certified family medicine physician. As Public Health Director, in partnership with other IHS, federal, and tribal entities, she has led numerous initiatives to advance the health of the Navajo population.

    Pamela Detsoi-Smiley, an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation and a U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps officer is the CEO of Gallup Indian Medical Center.
